The EU Data Protection Regulation came into force on May 25th 2018.
The EU Data Protection Regulation, GDPR (General Data Protection Regulation), came into force on May 25th 2018. The aim of the legislation is to safeguard the individual’s right to their own data and to improve privacy. In addition, the Data Protection Regulation responds to the new privacy protection issues related to digitalisation and globalization, harmonises data protection regulation in all EU countries, and promotes the development of internal digital markets.
From the user’s perspective this means that in all Kaleva Group’s companies, everyone has the right to know what information is collected, where it is used and how long the information is stored. Every customer also has the right to be forgotten and to see information about themselves. The user has the right to consent to or refrain from the collection of behavioural information. Users are also entitled to rectification of the data.
Providing content and services to our customers requires data collection from our users. To safeguard our trust, it is vital for us to collect data in a safe manner and in such ways that respect our customers’ privacy. Data is collected for the use of Kaleva Group.
